Intimately linked with the life and ministry of a Dominican is the celebration of reconciliation. Dominic saw it as a priority for his followers, no doubt due to the fragmented state of the church in his time. Indeed, whatever the time, there is always an urgency to bring to fragmented lives and communities the gospel of peace and wholeness.
While the ministry of reconciliation is wide-reaching and not confined to liturgical moments, there has always been a hallowed place within Dominican churches for making confession, one of the steps towards reconciliation.
St Mary’s has a schedule of confession, affording everyone the opportunity to recover peace through confession
